Do you think Nirvana helped or hindered the current popular music landscape? Yea Nirvana did away with the 80s hair bands but was the end result worth it considering the current output of all these trendy, shallow bands that all the kids are listening to? Oh and MCR, FOB, GC lovers need not reply. I know your opinion already so don't piss me off by saying "they rule I will love them forever!!!" Gag....

50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's. What songs do you like from each of those decades? If you don't like a song from a certain decade, you don't have to put anything down. For me it's:

50's: I'm not into 50's music but I do like Hound Dog by Elvis lol
60's: The Ballad Of You And Me And Pooneil by Jefferson Airplane
70's: Baby, I Love Your Way by Peter Frampton one of my favorite songs ever
80's: Drive by the Cars
90's: Don't Wanna Fall In Love by Jane Child. One of the few songs I like from the 90's
00's Honestly, I don't like any

I say the best were 1969-1974. The worst were ... well, too tough to choose. Worst decade was the 1980s.

Seems like a strange question, but i'm interested.

I personally can't think of one, apart from My World, but that wasn't really Guns N' Roses, that was Axl Rose on mushrooms, with some crazy effects in the background hehe.

Can you think of any?
Or are you so blinded by love that you can't acknowledge their not-so-great songs? Hehe.
Happy answering.

Does anyone have the track list for the Dead's "Ticket To New Year's" dvd (Oakland Colliseum - 12/31/87) ? I can't find a complete track listing anywhere online and wanted to know if their duet with the Neville Brothers
("Man Smart, Woman Smarter" / "Iko Iko") was included on it.

I like a lot of industrial music like KMFDM (1995-1997), Ministry (Psalm 69), and everything from NIN...and I thought I'd enlighten myself on Skinny Puppy. Based on my tastes, what would be a good album to start with?

All the music (yes all) I listen to is either from the 80's or 60's. I don't like today's music but I was wondering if there are any bands I might like.

I dont know if you guys agree or not but the music back in the 80's and the early 90's was the best ever with bands out in scene like Whitesnake, Skidrow, Cinderella, Damn Yankees, Guns n Roses, L.A. Guns, Warrant, ACDC and many other.

Do you think that kind of music would ever come again ? I really miss all that glam. Now a days no band is close to what these guys were back then. What do you say ?

The rumored soon-to-be use of The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" in a commercial for Luvs diapers.

Led Zeppelin songs in Cadillac ads.

And the one that makes me stop breathing...the "Viva Viagra" spot.

Do you think the use of these, and other, classic songs to sell products does anything to diminish their place in rock music history?
