I am an experienced trumpet player and i want to move on for my beginner trumpet. I want to either buy an intermediate trumpet or Pro Model. This may seem impossible but i don't want to pay more than a thousand for it. If you have any model recommendations and or places to get a good deal please let me know!

Thinking of a response to Jake's question (link below) inspired me. I was going to spend 20 minutes typing out an explanation to this, but I think I'm going to leave the question open to your interpretation. This leaves the door open to sarcastic responses too, but oh well:

You buy the music and merchandise, see the shows, read the interviews, etc. Does the artist/band owe you anything for your loyalty?

Okay, so i've done the heavy metal thing and the rock thing and I enjoy many styles of music; I've got a good collection of music in various genre's that I love (ranging from Pearl Jam to Slipknot to Hendrix, even Spice Girls and the Pocahontis sound track :P )

I really like decent gothic music, not screamo or thrash metal etc, like the slower, sexier, darker and lustier type of gothic music. However, i'm finding it really difficult to find bands to look into, since there is such huge variety in what is called 'gothic' these days that it's a job of work to limit it to this!

The kinda stuff i'm into has a very industrial undertone.

Anyone got any reccomendations?

Cheers
:)

even so long after Jerry's death, I still think the band is enormously influential. Agree-ers or Naysay-ers out there?
(and support your argument, please...)

I have Reason and I wanna write DnB beats. How do I do it? I've tried to do it by reading an instruction I found, but it talked about 'snare' and 'high hat' and I dunno what it means...

The people who have answered My earlier question brought this to My mind.
For Me a glaring example is Jimi Hendrix, that He was a phenomenal guitarist is beyond dounbt and I love the musicianship of His songs.
But His voice just irks Me so very badly I just can't enjoy listening to Him at all
And for Me the same thing is doubly true of Pearl Jam.
love the music, despise the voice
Has anything similar ever happened to You?
Cause I know several people who feel exactly the same way about one of My perennial faves, Rush and Geddy Lee

I stopped using Limewire a while ago, when lawsuits started happening, before that I loved downloading music at will. I now have a new computer and I am looking for the best site or download to LEGALLY download music. I am looking for the sites with the biggest selection, best price & that allow you to keep the music if you un-join later.

What do you reccomend? Who-ever suggest the site I go with will get the points! Thanks in advance!

Obviously I would think the answer would be
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
and
Black Sabbath
Beyond any doubt. Who else has influenced Rock Music more than them from the 1960's to right now? No One.
However if You have a divergent opinion and a good reson why I'd like to hear it.

In a typical hipser fashion, I am making my unrequited love a mix CD to tell him of my love but apparently love isn't indie. I need your help music experts, the topic: indie rock love songs. Nothing too cheesy or girly, my love is male and I am female. The lesser known, the better.

Basically, his deal is his last girl friend ****** him over and he's afraid of a new relationship. Anything along those lines would be great.

To see what I want, this is what I have so far:
(as in these are ones I don't need, as in, i need more ideas!)

Disappointed Women // The Octagon
If We Can Land a Man On The Moon, I Can Get into Your Heart // Beulah
Koala // Yossarian
Golden Skans // Klaxons
Apple Orchard // Beach House
Let My Love Open The Door // Sondre Lerche
Via Lax // The Sugar Report
Ask Her to Dance // Coconut Records
First Love // The Maccabees
If You Should Try To Kiss Her // Dressy Bessy
If She Wants Me // Belle and Sebastian
Boats and Birds // Gregory and the Hawk

A bit of a toughie I know...

The lyrics say " I saw you, walking in the rain.."
All I can say to help is that it's not a new song, its sung by a female artist and its a slow song. I've looked on the lyrics websites and no good. Any ideas anyone?
