Okay, so i've done the heavy metal thing and the rock thing and I enjoy many styles of music; I've got a good collection of music in various genre's that I love (ranging from Pearl Jam to Slipknot to Hendrix, even Spice Girls and the Pocahontis sound track :P )
I really like decent gothic music, not screamo or thrash metal etc, like the slower, sexier, darker and lustier type of gothic music. However, i'm finding it really difficult to find bands to look into, since there is such huge variety in what is called 'gothic' these days that it's a job of work to limit it to this!
The kinda stuff i'm into has a very industrial undertone.
Anyone got any reccomendations?
Cheers
:)
Em

And, Charlie, there is no such thing as perception that is not subject to the presence of reality - so far, ten people who have read your response and thought it worthy of comment have given it a thumbs-down rating. None have given it a thumbs up. So, 100% of those who have heard what you have to say and bothered to listen have considered you wrong, and none have considered you right enough to warrant a thumbs-up. Perception is reality.

I'm surprised London After Midnight hasn't been mentioned. Definitely check LAM out... slow, sexy, and dark describes their sound completely.. especially the first two albums. The last album is great too, it has more of an industrial sound to it.

Other than them... these bands are pretty good. I threw in a couple industrial ones too:
Clan of Xymox
Faith and the Muse
Love Spirals Downwards
Switchblade Symphony
The Crüxshadows
Project Pitchfork
Flesh Field
Blutengel
Razed In Black
etc...
