I know it seems silly but think about it. I noticed a lot more songs reference God. Could they be telling us something or trying to reach another group of listeners? Do you believe they really feel that way or just trying to sell more records? I am a Christian man and it makes me smile when I hear those songs.
Anyone else feel the same? Anyone else notice this also? Who was the guy from Korn that got saved(curiousity)?

Since folk music kinda tells you a story about something, so does this song. I wanna know your opinions if it's folky rap or just plain hip-hop or rap. If it's folky, It's gotta be intergenre then.

Let me know.

I'm thirteen, girl. Christian. I enjoy music styles from Beyonce to Carre Underwood to Beethoven. But in todays' songs. Everything is about sex, almost. I like Beyone, A TON! Her music is wonderful. But if you listen to the lyrics, its mainly about 'come to bed' 'you know i hate lseepign alone' 'tonight i'm all yours' kind of stuff. But not all of her songs are that way. I just enjoy the rythym and sound! I listin to rap, sometimes. But not hardcore, that stuff is degrading and nasty. Songs such as 'Dirty Little Secret' I like, like to just sing it, as a teenage in todays world. I enjoy some of todays' music. Maybe not the full meaning but the sound, voice, rythym, exct. I also like Fallout Boy, sometimes Good Char, and the Pussycat Dolls. My mom said she wants to look through my iPodto see what I'm listning too. So now I feel guilty. Is it bad to listin to today's music. I pick out the cleanest songs possible, ones i like and enjoy. But I'mafraid my mom will freak outon something not ba

what are some good songs?
I like pretty much anything. So this shouldn't be too hard.

I'd prefer slow, emo(not screamo), love, mellow songs.
Songs like:
'Your Guardian Angel' by RJA
'Gravity' by John Mayer
'Your Ex-Lover is Dead' by Stars
& 'Today Has Been Okay' by Emiliana Torrini

Like maybe Donna Summer's "Love to love you baby" and 2 Live Crew's "Me so horny" and that type of thing. I don't mean some obscure tract.

I mean seriously, it used to be so popular, now it is considered the lowest point now, next to emos and goths, in society. People always seem to burn on it, but is it really that bad? I mean its ok if you hate it, but you don't have to songle people out because they listen to it. I mean the steortypes are always its talentless, or its satanic
1) Talent- I want to see some punk guitarist who can only power chords on the same set of strings, play the some metal, you need precision, speed, accuracy, its not that easy
2) Satan- this is total bull, the only satanic ones are black metal, and they r kind of messed up (no offense to black metal fans, but ur music sux ;)
So basically, I'm just tired of people always saying metal is responsible for our violence in schools, or that other crap. I mean look at rap, it is auctually worse. It can inspire people to kill, and can make white boys look retarded. I m just saying, why would people hate so much on meta
