I like both Classic rock and music that's played in (some) clubs. I don't go to a club expecting to hear Zeppelin but rather club-type music. If I'm in the mood for some AC/DC or Stones, etal, I'd go into a different place where I know that would happen like a bar with a juke box or a place I know that has a classic rock cover band. However, I've seen exceptional DJs (both performance/touring DJ's and Club/Resident DJ's) who can mix it up and rock the house with the classic 70's rock and still flow the funk, 80's hip-hop, and (dare I say) top 40 to a pleased crowd. Catch Z-Trip if you ever get a chance. He pretty much popularized the whole rock/hip-hop mashup thing that so many DJs and producers have since tried to copy. He knows how to rock the party.

YES!!! Finally someone who knows what real music is all about! I don't know why they dont play it... If they did, I might actually go out more often! Maybe that's what I should do with my life... Open a club that plays the classics! Everything sounds the same to me nowadays, and tho most people wouldn't admit to it, cos apparently its not 'cool' there wouldn't be (or SHOULD'T be) a person that doesn't know Stairway to Heaven, The Wall, Hotel California, Smoke on the Water, and all the other classics that will be around forever, regardless of how long ago they were made! In 10, 15, 20 yrs from now, aint nobody gonna remember any of the crap thats around today, but u can bet ur bottom dollar that these classics will still be gettin sung in every pub, around every pool table, or wherever theres a group of people havin a few drinks!
Long live the classics!

Well, those bands are good for the 60's British dancing (watch the people dancing in the early Floyd music videos) and not exactly good for grinding. Acually Led Zeppelin would be good for it. Especially Black Dog.
Also cause good mucic isn't mainstream anymore and people in clubs want to hear songs they reconize.

Cool, someone else who finally noticed this! I don't really know, but it pisses me off. Clubs don't seem to play rock music at all. I would have those bands you mentioned turned up to 11 if I owned a club. Not to mention the Rolling Stones and the Who.
