I know it seems silly but think about it. I noticed a lot more songs reference God. Could they be telling us something or trying to reach another group of listeners? Do you believe they really feel that way or just trying to sell more records? I am a Christian man and it makes me smile when I hear those songs.
Anyone else feel the same? Anyone else notice this also? Who was the guy from Korn that got saved(curiousity)?

CCM has been catching on for years. Bands like POD, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Superchick and Lifehouse just to name a few. The lyrics have different meanings to two groups of people dare I say secular listeners hear it as a love song for another. Christians see it as the artist wrote it a song to God. Another reason they are getting more play on regular stations most are great musicians with much more talent that is out there today. And finally the record companies. There are many small so called religious labels and the big companies wanna get their hand in the 8 billion dollar Christian business sales. I believe that to be the biggest. Peace out...........

Edit: After reading your question again I really didnt answer it correctly. No I think He is mentioned about the same. I think the times may have to do with how often writers put Him in songs. Troubled times many look to God. And weve been in troubled times now for a while. Peace out.............

I actually think of that "genres" are very useful, because of fact in the event that they did no longer exist an excellent variety of it may be trial and blunder. i think of everybody dislikes a minimum of one form, and if there wasn't a attractiveness for that, it may suck having to sift by way of each band you have the alternative of listening to in straight forward terms to no longer be waiting to categorize it with all the different bands that sound comparable and crappy. i do in comparison to while a sort "defines" a guy or woman, yet I do think of the people that can quite be defined via the form of song they hear to, pick to be defined that way (oftentimes), or they might not gown interior the "uniform". for occasion if somebody is wearing a studed leather-based jacket with a mohawk, they pick you to comprehend that they are into punk. BQ1: Pop song. no longer the form of father form that consists of teenager pop stars and boy bands. yet stuff like Elvis Costello, Bowie, The Kinks. i assume some could say it is rock n' roll, in line with threat. yet i could actually classify it as pop song. BQ2: Goth clown rap, screamo. BQ3: i assume i do no longer quite comprehend what i could evaluate Andrew W.ok.? additionally I see somebody else reported The citizens, that could have been my first determination additionally.

In the world of country music, I wouldn't call it a sudden influx. It's been there all along.
