60's, i'd say Hendrix , though i was barely there in that period.
70's, Queen, UFO, Thin Lizzy , SWEET (some call them "the" SWEET, but tha's a misnomer), also my fav from the late 70's was Van Halen , NOT the 80's
80's , again NOT Van Halen
90's, hmm... Thunder , Electric Boys , Extreme, those stand out for me.
