This needs to be a song that captures the "feel" and essence of each decade of the rock era. This does not necessarily have to be the "best" song.

Here's a list I think could work:

1940's: My Gal’s a Jockey - Big Joe Turner
1950's: Love is Strange - Mickey & Sylvia
1960's: A Summer Song - Chad & Jeremy
1970's: The Hustle - Van McCoy
1980's: Walking in L.A. - Missing Persons
1990's: Push It - Garbage
2000's: Love Like Winter - A.F.I.

OK, I included the 1940's but you can start with the 1950's if you like. Now I'd like to see what you come up with.

In the history of music being a gay artist, was and is something that doesn't bother anyone. Does the Hip Hop and Metal community tries to tell us that there is absolutely no one gay artist in their music scene? Is that ever possible?

My vote goes for the Southeast, I live in Denver and not too impressed with the local music there. My second vote goes to the Texas local scene (especially Austin). When I lived in the Carolinas, the local music there was unbelievable.

I'm a music tech student @ Derby uni, and I've noticed that out of all the genres of music...I think I could well be the only student fan of house in the entire city. So I ask the rest of the world who else likes house?

For the record I like artists such as: Mark Farina, Kaskade, MAW, Blaze, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Miguel Migs,Roger Sanchez, Dave Lee, Fuzzy Hair, Full Intention, Hardsoul, Knee Deep, Mark Knight & MTV,David Ramirez, Groove Junkies, Jazz & Groove, Seamus Haji, Spen & Karizma, Hott 22, early Bob Sinclair, Axwell, Junior Jack, Copyright, Audiowhores, Pound Boys, Olav Basoski, Ian Carey, Trentmoller, Ame, Bini & Martini, Lucieen Foort, Sasha...many more but off the top of my head these are all artists I've dug out recently.

Who do you like, and why...and what's your favourite record ?

My vote goes for South Street Players - Who Keeps Cahnging Your Mind (Full Intention Mix)

On the web when you search for a free music download site it brings up all these other sites that you have to sign up for and pay for. I just wanted to find more songs for my computer but am not willing to pay for it.

Company Flow, Non Phixion, Jean Grae, Wu-Tang, Big L, Black Moon... So many, it'd take ages to list everything.

I am looking for some new music to try, but for me the lyrics are as important as the music if not more, so if you could give examples of lyrics you like, it would be appreciated.

I have heard that you can develop relative pitch, but you are born with perfect pitch if you are going to have it. How true is this, and how DO you develop it?
