I'm a music tech student @ Derby uni, and I've noticed that out of all the genres of music...I think I could well be the only student fan of house in the entire city. So I ask the rest of the world who else likes house?
For the record I like artists such as: Mark Farina, Kaskade, MAW, Blaze, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Miguel Migs,Roger Sanchez, Dave Lee, Fuzzy Hair, Full Intention, Hardsoul, Knee Deep, Mark Knight & MTV,David Ramirez, Groove Junkies, Jazz & Groove, Seamus Haji, Spen & Karizma, Hott 22, early Bob Sinclair, Axwell, Junior Jack, Copyright, Audiowhores, Pound Boys, Olav Basoski, Ian Carey, Trentmoller, Ame, Bini & Martini, Lucieen Foort, Sasha...many more but off the top of my head these are all artists I've dug out recently.
Who do you like, and why...and what's your favourite record ?

love love love house.... but being waaaay older than you (just a guess!) i'm onto the more old school sounds.... some of my best partying years were when i lived in derby and progress was the place to catch the big name dj's. saw the likes of tall pall, judge jules (before whe dissapeared up his own ar*e) tony de vit, sacha, fergie..... the list was endless. house will always have a place in my heart!!! if you like your house bordering on the techno then i can highly reccommend the love parade in berlin... went there this summer and it was amazing. 1.2million clubbers on the streets of berlin. def woth a visit as the city never stops and the music venues/clubs are superb. it's now my home and i'm never stuck for a night out!
energy52 cafe del mar is my all time fave house tune, i've seen grown men cry during that breakdown!!!!
you either get house, or you don't.... the feeling comes from within!!!!

Not really, I don't see the musicians as talented at all, they just use computers to program beats etc. Theres no emotion in any of the music, when you hear an instrument being played well it really sounds amazing, but House, no, thats not good music.

I like it!!!! I don't know all the ones you've mentioned but I love Casacada and Junior Jack. I dunno if these people are all house but I lalso ike Armand Van Helden, Mylo, Joey Negro and Fedde Le Grande. Can't think of anymore at the moment but thats the kind of stuff I like!

House is ok, but way to commercial. Prefer Drum & Bass / Jungle or techno.
