I've been searching on sites about how to build a simple indian (from india) flute but but they don't give details about how to put the holes and how big should be the holes at different length flutes.
I would be very gratefull if someone could tell me how to calculate the length and the positioning of the holes for different length of flutes and diferent scale , thanks very much.

i find many songs have sad or depressing lyrics and can't understand why my bf sings along to them. he says he just likes the beat or the music but I keep thinking he's thinking about his feelings for his ex. It can be good therapy I suppose but it makes me feel like he doesn't want me. I think I'm being a bit paranoid. Do you just like a song and sing it without feeling anything? without it having meaning for you? perhaps you just prefer miserable songs or don't pay much attention to lyrics? I like really uplifting songs and avoid stuff about break ups, betrayal and losing love but there's alot of it about

Hi all. I'm looking for a particular type of jazz but I'm not sure what its called. Its more of an "atmosphere" than a specific type. The kind of thing you find flowing over film noirs or Chinatown style detective thrillers. Usually its very slow and involves a muted trumpet and accompanies a detective giving a broody voice over. Can someone please advise me on what this a) what this style is called, b) who the best artist to look out for in this style would be and c) a good album to get me started? Many Thanks.
