A lot of the musicians complaining are already wealthy. Is making millions of dollars a year not good enough for them? It just seems that a lot of the people downloading the songs are teens and young adults who typically don't have a lot of money to go out and buy cd's that only have one good song.

I really wished that it would. It's not the style of music that I have a problem with. It is the fact that this particular genre is dominated by people who talk about nothing but sex, drugs, and violence. These things have been talked about in all types of music, but none as strongly as hip hop. If hip hop communicated positive messages and gave inspiration, it still wouldn't be MY favorite, but I would hate it a lot less. Now, rap is just shallow. Why is that?

P.S. What genre do you think will be in style after the hip hop age? And is anyone else tired of popularizing a new genre every decade? I really wish that people could see past all the junk and pick out the music that really matters.
