How can i change a song to a minus one track?

As in i only want the background music i don't want the words that ppl are singing together with the music or at least i just want to lower down the volume of the people singing and only hear the music. As i'm gonna sing on top of the voice.

Have you heard of Jetaudio? You can record the song in the computer itself while playing the track on -1. Its easy. SHould be able with other software as well.

It can be difficult, although there are some software tools that will allow you to remove the vocals with varied results.
