...THE BLUE REMEMBERED HILLS

all the actors were adults, but they were costumed and acting in their childhood personas.

i thought the play was a wonderful exploration of [the blue remembered hills] of childhood, and the cruelties and skirmishes as well as the carefree laughter of all our earliest days.

i just wondered if anyone had brought something similar to the film screen.

I went to see I now pronounce you chuck and larry a week ago with a few of my friends. When you buy the ticket for the movie, and you go in to the hall way where the guy rips the part of your movie pass. My friend told us to fold back the part the guy rips off, and walk by him and just show the ticket to him with your finger folding the ripped part back, to make it seem like it has been already ripped.

I told my friend that was a genius idea, he does it every time, so you see the movie without the ticket being ripped off. After the movie go to the front movie desk and say our friend did not show up so we did not see the movie. The helper will give you a refund, or you can keep that movie pass of chuck and lary and bring it in next time you see a movie.

I saw a good movie, and got my 11 bucks back! Anyone have any ideas similar to this that works?

I am a REALLY HUGE FAN of fantasy books and movies so I bought some things...: The rings of Gandalf, Elrond,Galadriel,Aragorn and The One Ring. Glamdrig the sword of Gandalf, Sting the sword of Frodo, Anduril the sword of Aragorn, The helmet and the hand of Sauron, the Staff of Saruman, The bow of Legolas, The swords of Drizzt Do Urden Icingdeath and Twinkle, Galbatorix's and Eragon's swords, Heron Mark Sword from the Wheel of Time and Highlanders Dragon Katana sword. It cost really a lot of money, believe me you don't want to know how much. I'm very proud that I have them and now I'm going to put them in a special room which is filled with posters and books of fantasy in the place they deserve to be. But something inside me tells me that I have overdone it. Did I?

i am just saying that i hate it when people try to make me take something like candy to the cinema, when i prefer popcorn because it is more traditional.
Reasons:
1, when i was younger i eat popcorn every time i watched a film at the cimena.
2, it gives me the full "Cinema Experience". i go to the cinema for surround sound, big screen, and popcorn.
3, who thought of the stupid candy or other snacks idea, was it invented a few years after 2000 like most un-traditional modern pop culture changes?

sorry if this doesnt make sense or sounds stupid, i just want your opinion and not criticism.

I just got the Special Edition 2-Disk DVD of "300", and it seems to me that they could've fit the paltry amount of bonus features onto the first disc. Maybe I'm just cynical, but I get the sinking feeling I've been suckered. Should I have waited to buy the Super Duper Director's Cut Mondo 300 Box Set?

I'm looking for scenes that demonstrate 1) the difficulties women have in advancing to management positions or 2) the difference in pay between men and women (example: someone finds out a man is making more than her for doing the same job).

Thank you~

Just curious....I started watching clips of the movie Superman 2 a few days ago on youtube, since then I've been trying to find the full version of the film to watch online, so far nothing...yet.

How was it anyway?

I only ask this cause I'm trying to see what the 3 main characters are like since I plan to feature them in a fan fiction I've been writing since March.

Can someone please help me try to figure this out? We used to watch this movie back in the 1998-2000 timeframe, it was a sort of cheesy movie where a family is on vacation and their car breaks down. When the parents sign in the guestbook, they become possessed. I remember the kids finding them behind these spider web things, and they were coughing up green goo, the green stuff was a big part. At the end of the movie they're back home and when the girl cuts the cake that green goo is there and when her parents kiss, their lips are green. We thought it was The Greenies or something, but I guess not. If someone figures it out please tell me!!!!

for me, it has to be in Godfather III ( I know the movie is not that good) when Sophia Coppola character dies. Al Pacino acting through that scene, especially when it is mute, brings tears to my eyes everytime I see it. BRILLIANT acting!

I watch a lot of movies every year (probably 100+ in theatres and at least that many more on DVD). And I can recognize the difference between a well made movie that I just didn't like (The Queen is an example that comes to mind) and a bad movie (Norbit, Epic Movie, etc).

I give credit to a movie that had good acting and/or production values but just doesn't have an interesting or well executed story. However, I'm tired of these dumb comedies Hollywood keeps churning out just for the sake of making money. Most of them only have the thinest thread of a story and it's like they are just throwing out as many "jokes" and sight gags as they can in hopes something works. The same goes for most horror movies and a lot of action movies (or at least was the case when Hollywood was making a lot of action movies).

I've seen it stated it many places on the net that the role of the Terminator was originally going to be portrayed by O. J. Simpson. But, according to James Cameron people wouldn't have believed a nice guy like O. J. playing the part of a ruthless killer.

This is also stated on the iMDB trivia page for the original movie, but as this is user created content is unverifiable on it's own; nor can I find any other concrete sources.
I find this slightly hard to swallow as it seems akin to a satirical article which might be on "theonion.com" .

So can anyone source any credible references to confirm or dipute this?

Thank you!
