Its a Spanish-language film.
The Director and movie are Mexican (not Spanish like someone else said). Although I'm pretty sure it was shot in Spain, and that some/most of the actors are Spanish.
Don't let the subtitles scary you off though! Its an excellent film.

No, you're just staggeringly ignorant. It's not an American film. It is a film set in Spain and directed by a Mexican and YES - it's meant to be in Spanish. You might notice the way the actors' lips synch up with the words spoken in Spanish? That means they were speaking Spanish.

But what's worse? Someone who balks at the very notion of reading subtitles, or someone who reads them out to a six year old when the film in question is a bloody and violent R-rated film?

No the movie is sub-titled but it won 3 academy awards for a reason. It's a good movie and not too much reading becasue most spanish is easy to understand anyways.

That's the same thing I thought when I watched it but that is how it is supposed to be. I had to read the entire movie to my 6 year old cousin who I was babysitting that night.

That's the way it's supposed to be.

The same thing happened to me. I thought maybe I should have ordered (from pay-per-view) the previous one. I really think they all are that way.
