I thought the flux capacitor needed to be going 88 miles per hour AND be charged with 1.21 Jigawatts (SP) of electricity in order to work. If that is not the case, they could have just as well parked the delorean in front of the clock tower in the original and ran a cable down into the flux capacitor from the clock tower and waited until 10:04 PM and it would have worked then. My point is just that when DOC went back to 1885, he wasnt going 88 miles per hour, he was just floating in the air when the lightning struck.

They ALWAYS voice that complaint when it seems that's the standard formula for movies; You start slowly to create the mood and introduce characters, then build to the big climax. So why do people always complain because they spend 20 minutes establishing things. If they didn't people would complain about lack of 'character development'. (another lame criticism).

I saw this movie many years ago. I think it was back in the early 70's, where kids took over the world. In the end the younger kids were over taking the world from the teenagers. Does anyone remember the name of this movie and is it on DVD?

they show it all the time I am looking for this one song it hapends during the movie The song they play after the black out and it starts immediatly after they have this scene where they say do you think you can win against com ed? than it is a bunch of clips of them playing baseball (the song starts immediatle after he says do you really think you can win against com ed)

It's not so hard to believe that a single errant cable could take out an entire dance floor of people, the part I think is strange is how they're all still standing for a moment or two afterwards before falling in half. Is that even possible in such a death?

Aladdin, yeah i was like 6 and i cried when the genie left. JK. mine would be a toss up with Titanic, losing Isaiah, Boys On The Side, Old Yeller, Bambi, The Passion Of The Christ. Lilo And Stitch: Stitch Has A Glitch (I'm Not Kidding. I cried when Stitch was 'dead') Grease 2 when that one dude died. yes i am very emotianal.

I bought it Tuesday and I just got through watching it, I thought it was a really good movie, especially when it comes to courage and bravery. The special effects were awesome, I gave it a 8 1/2.

I ask because it took me five years to get a hold of this movie--which was made quite a few years ago. It should have been great (Diane Lane, Richard Gere, Gregory Hines, Nicholas Cage + a Francis Coppola film). It was about the Roaring 20s (which I love) in Harlem, NY--crime, romance +. That's why I wanted to see it.

Now that I have, it was nothing like I expected--I was quite disappointed. It was no "The Great Gatsby," and it was no "Chicago."
