...gotta admit, the directer of the film, John Hillcoat, definitely has a distinct pulse on the flavor, character and attitude that made the Italian Western genre such a compelling genre to behold; I haven't partaken in anything as overwhelming, since those bygone days of the Spaghetti Westerns (...1998's "Dollar for the Dead", and Sam Raimi's 1995 flavorful western opus, "The Quck and the Dead", came close....but not anywhere as near as this!!!)
