In the movie "The Shining" staring Jack Nickleson there is a scene
where jack is in a large dining room and everyone is dressed in a style of the 1920's. The head waiter says to Jack,,'
"we 've been waiting for you sir". There is orchestra music playing in the background. Can someone tell me the name of the music that is being played.

I thought it was a good film that showed us a closer glimpse into the world of a monarchy and its Queen. If the film is somewhat factual, the Queen still pulls some weight in the government, or is this rubbish and she's nothing more than a figure head for tradition.

...with the recent interest in 'grindhouse' cinema, I am reminded of several excursions to such delightful dreck and sleaze; however, there was one movie, which I have been trying to find, or at the very least, get some information on. I cannot remember the plot of the film, but I remember the movie poster most distinctly; it featured a horrifically looking, ghastly/skeletal figure in ragged, decayed robes, and swinging a large, rusted-silver, blood-smeared sickle, large as life, in the foreground of the poster, amongst the credits. With this image, I have the title "Night of the Bloody Poltergiest" etched in my head, but I've never been able to find anything even remotely close to this. I'm beginning to believe that either I was probably the only one to see this...or perhaps it was dream...or possibly, I'm delusional!!! Someone please tell me that the former is true....before I commit myself!!!!!

Almost every person i've ever got into this argument with whole heartedly believes that this story/movie is true....just because the back of the movie...or the movie preview says its true. Why do people refuse to do a little research and trust the movie industry?

(Asked late last night, got good answers, thought I would ask earlier this evening)

With it only being announced it is far away. Christian Bale (Batman) and Brandon Routh (Superman) may have contract options to star in this vehicle, as well as an unknown Wonder Woman if they greenlight that movie.

So who would you choose (minus Batman and Superman) to portray the other main characters?

Wonder Woman, Aqua Man, Green Lantern, the Flash, and Martian Manhunter.

Mind you I am only listing the original league, feel free to add an actor for the additional characters if you choose.

Roscoe Lee Browne Dead at 81

His credits include more than 100 films and television shows dating back to 1962 as well as numerous stage appearances, died Wednesday of cancer in Los Angeles at the age of 81. His rich voice provided the narration for several movies including the 1995 hit Babe and last year's Epic Movie. He won an Emmy in 1986 for a role on The Cosby Show.
He'll probally be remembered the most as the voice of 'Kingpin' in the Spider-man cartoon.
I'll remember him most as the actor who replaced 'Benson' on 'Soap' as the butler. He was so funny! The best scene I've seen him in though, was his guest spot as Archie's hostpital roommate on 'All In The Family'. Since, they were seperated by a curtain, Archie 'assumed' Roscoe was white and they became good friends. Then when the curtain was pulled back to reveal that Roscoe was actually black, I became a witness to television comedy history! R.I.P. Roscoe! Not many knew you, but you won't be forgotten. Laugh On!

It seems once they stopped prohibiting communists from making/starring in films, the quality went down. And there seem to be hundreds, if not thousands of libs in hollywood bringing down the quality of filmmaking.
