In the movie "The Shining" staring Jack Nickleson there is a scene
where jack is in a large dining room and everyone is dressed in a style of the 1920's. The head waiter says to Jack,,'
"we 've been waiting for you sir". There is orchestra music playing in the background. Can someone tell me the name of the music that is being played.

The IMDB suggestion is the best bet; I found a list of the musical selections there. Unfortunately, they do not provide access to any sound clips, so it's difficult to identify specific music. I do recall the tune your talking about (I think it's that same one sang by George Hamilton, as a drunken Dracula, in 'Love at First Bite'...and Robin Williams in 'The Fisher King'); in fact, you've peaked my curiousity enough for me to go into my storage unit, and pull out the now-out-of-print original soundtrack album of 'The Shining', which I purchased eons ago (I've been wanting to have it professionally transfered to CD anyway). If I can identify the selection quick enough, I'll try to let you know.
