I think 1 (Curse of the Black Pearl) is better but my brother thinks it sucks and thinks 2 (Dead Man's Chest) is better.

The movie starred Billy Zane, Kristy Swanson and Katherine Zeta-Jones. The music is wonderful, does anyone know who wrote it? It sounds like Thomas Newman, but I know it's not. Thanks!!!

One scene really bothered me, when Ash found out that Guru only married her for her dowry and she left him for a while... I was disappointed that there wasnt any dialogue between them Abhi never apologised or tried to make it up to her...yet the minute she saw him she came running out to greet him...I thought there should have been some dialogue between them there.

ok i know this is rather vague, but it's about the best i can get. it's about the only thing i can remember about this movie that's reliable...other than that it's an adventure movie in a desert setting (middle east perhaps?) and the guy who gets shot is the hero. he had black hair and maybe a goatee or beard and he had a lady with him. he gets shot in the leg and he ties what i think is a bible to it to stop the bleeding.

i saw this movie as a kid more than once....and for some reason, two things stuck with me: Rutger Hauer and 1983. now i'm pretty certain Rutger Hauer was not in this movie, because i thought he was the hero, and when i saw Buffy the Vampire Slayer i thought he was the guy who Paul Reubens played. so, with that in mind, i'm fairly convinced it wasn't specifically released in 1983 either. i'd say it was released in the last 25 years. someone on IMDb said it might be Nighthawks, but i don't think that's it.

if anyone knows anything, that would be awesome!
