What is Pan's Labyrinth about?

I want to see it, but first I wnat to know if it's any good? Has anyone seen it yet?

I haven't seen it, but it's about a ten year old girl in Spain, I believe. Her mother is having a pregnancy that is threatening to her life, and her step father is a sadistic man whose trying to kill rebels of some sort. To escape all these horrors, the girl creates a fantasy world, where she meets the god Pan, who's a faun. Pan tells her that she is the queen of the land, and to obtain her throne she must pass three challenges. While her real world begins to shatter from war, her imaginary world goes to war as well, and she soon doesn't know if her real world or her imaginary one is more dangerous. It's in Spanish with English subtitles, by the way. I really want to see it too.

I have seen it, and it's one of the best movies I have seen lately. It takes place in Spain during the last days of the civil war. It mixes fantasy with reality, it's violent, but definitely worth watching.

its about the end of the spanish civil war and a girl who is involved in the horrible brutality of it. either she is having a real fairy experience, or she is having a psychotic escape into a fantasy. its totally worth seeing
