I know he's the Walt Disney of Japan...and the father of anime and manga....




but shouldn't there a father of modern anime???



like Hayao Miyazaki...

or

Masashi Kishimoto (so far he only have two mangas, so I guess he needs to be more of an icon...one who have lots of works which made impact in the anime world)....

come to think of it, anime has gone through a lot of changes since the prime of Tezuka-san...



but with all respect to Mr. Tezuka, he really deserves it...the title--the father of anime and manga.

Also what is the best comic series ever written? My answers are Kingdom Come for best stand alone graphic novel and Rising Stars by J Michael Stracynski for best series but maybe there's something great out there I'm missing.
