GH fans, apparently Leslie Charleston"Monica" is very unhappy with her lack of storyline,does she deserve one?

Storylines come and go for all characters. "Monica" had a tremendous storyline about breast cancer several years ago but after a while she just became a mother and doctor. Alexis had a cancer story which started out strong but vanished and she has been pushed to supporting other characters.Isn't that just the way these things go?
