Do extras have scripted parts or do they just talk about anything with each other ( e.g. when the part calls for people to be conversating in the background) while the film is rolling?

hi.i live in london.Celebrety big brother is a very popular program here.But i never saw this program.I thought its a boring program.Some celebrety's are in a house and the camera is showing what they r doing whole day.But now i am watching the program.But i dont know the rules.I mean what is the objective?How is the rule to win this game?i mean i know nothg.can anyone help me out.Make me understand abt the program.
