I hope u don't pick the nevada dudette just because hers is long. Anyways my favorite state in the U.S is the same as yours california. I live in southern california( in the oc 5min away from laguna beach) and nothing is like it. We have the best weather, the best surf( not including hawaii), the best food, the best entertainment, and the best hangout spots. I have visited over half the US states btw and there are only a few that would b a comparison to ca but nothing is quite like it. You have to live here for a while to truly appreciate everything though. The only states i would maybe live in is Florida( i used to live there), Hawaii (i have friends that are moving back, the surf is awesome and ppl are friendly) and New York ( but only in New york city). But California is a taste of everything and the ppl here are actually pretty friendly. Laguna beach isn't all like the tv show even though i know ppl like that, it is actually a very artistic community. A place u would love. Have u ever watched real housewives of orange county? Cota de Coza where the women live is where most of my classmates lived when i went to private school. California is like it's own country the OC , San Fran, La, and Sacremento all are completly different and all very cool places for different reasons. Any hope this answers ur question.

I have been in 34 states, and I have seen beauty in all of them. They all are unique in their own way. I thought Virginia was awesome, but I loved Arkansas, Arizona, New York was great to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. California has some beautiful places, especially in the North. I resided in Utah for about 20 years and there is some gorgeous country there.

But "Home Means Nevada,Home means the hills, Home Means the Sage and the Pines, out where the Truckee silvery rills, out where the sun always shines. There is the land that I love the best, fairer than all I can see, right in the heart of the golden west. Home means Nevada to me." (our state song, it says it all for me)

I was born and raised here in Nevada and it always draws me back, every time I leave. Nevada is not all desert like by Las Vegas. Where I come from, Ely and McGill, there are mountains and pine trees, quaken asp, cedar, mahogany and oaks. There are wild berries, currants, elderberries, chokecherries, service berries and gooseberries. There are streams running down the mountainsides.
There is still wide open country here. It is not as congested as so many of the other states.
There is fishing, rainbow trout, bass, walleye, etc. There is hunting deer and antelope.
Yes, there are rattlesnakes and sidewinders and blowsnakes.
There are spiders and all kinds of creepy crawlies, but the beauty is here. The Great Basin National Park is just outside of Ely, Lemans Caves, which has stalagtites and stalagmites is beautiful to go see.
I could go on, but this is enough, come visit us here in the Northeast of Nevada, we would love to have you.
By the way, most of the people are friendly here, and if you are into it, there is 24 hr. gambling and drinking and cathouses(whorehouses).

it has those beautiful mountains and ranges and the animals are so majestic and because ppl are scarce the animals really don't have a fear of humans they will stand there and watch you just as long as you want
i would love to go in the winter there is a guide that will take you to a log cabin in the middle of nowhere and you need to get there by snowmobile they leave you there for 3 days NO PHONE LIGHTS RUNNING WATER just you and nature woohooo

California because I can make bank there and then when I choose to retire I will have enough saved up to retire in Cali, but I could move to one of those lame states and live like a king. Also great weather, awesome geography, beautiful cities, and once again lots of money. Oh yeah, and I am from there.

I've been too 49 states (never alaska, nor do i have any disire to go) and i must say Nevada is the best state in the united states, its a party 24 hours a day if you want it to be, its holds the most whitetrash city in america(reno) if your into that. and you can also go away from everything there. I love that place :)
