the movie was released more than 6-7 years back. It's a coloured feature film. Don't know it's name n' so need ur help. will try my best to describe it,

somewhere in u.k. or u.s. there's this house in a city which catches fire. there's this boy who in his room is just about to get out when a couple of drawfs drop in his room out of the blue. and have this somewat red stonelike object with them. he agrees to come along with them to somewat fantasy land.
There in the fantasy land while on the sea he meets this cannibal pirates and latter on a very tall giant on whose head there ship somewat get locked. Latter on in the movie they comes across a extremely tall wall of glass, mirror if I m not wrong, they break it and behind it number of stairsgoing everywhr.
finally at the end of the movie he comes back to the city and finds that he is back at the same time at which he had left, only he has the red stone with him. Finally he comes outta the house n' his parents take hold of stone
