My school is going to have a valentines day dance. I am in the 7th grade and it will be my first dance. My problem: the only guy I like definitely likes my best friend and while my best friend thinks I should ask him (she is fully aware he likes her) I am too shy. I have a guy friend who I'm very comfortable around and we already get teased a lot by people who think that we're boyfriend/girlfriend, which we're not. If I'm mad at him about somehting or other, I get remarks such as "Aw, lovers fighting", etc. etc. I've learned to ignore it. Would it be appropriate for me to ask this friend to the dance (oh and several of my friends think I SHOULD go out with him) as FRIENDS or would that look weird? Please help!

Looking for a good jazz artist for a gift for a friend of mine. I know he likes music with a good tenor saxist and/or trombonist. He already has a lot of stan getz, t. monk, ray charles, louis armstrong, maynard ferguson, and chet baker. he likes chet baker, so maybe a similar artist?

I am not saying that ALL christians behave like this. I'm sure there are christians out there who are non judgemental people and do not preach the word of God to whoever they come in contact with. But those other christians that I've come in contact with get aggressive and try to convert you and tell you that if you don't pray or go to church or go to confession and spill your dirty laundry to the priest, they tell you that you are going to HELL or purgatory!
To me, this is hilarious!
