I am not saying that ALL christians behave like this. I'm sure there are christians out there who are non judgemental people and do not preach the word of God to whoever they come in contact with. But those other christians that I've come in contact with get aggressive and try to convert you and tell you that if you don't pray or go to church or go to confession and spill your dirty laundry to the priest, they tell you that you are going to HELL or purgatory!
To me, this is hilarious!

Cranky- yeah you are an example of those christians who make you feel guilty because I do not practice your faith.
Why don't you pray for yourself that way you can stop judging people.

Kookie- Do you see me converting you into my religion? Why are you trying to tell me to accept Jesus. I know who Jesus is. Thank you.

Here Here good man I can't stand these annoying christians either. I can't believe that chick would condesend to tell you she would pray for you what nonsense. Like you are a bad person and need to be prayed for because you don't wan't to hear any of this religion nonsense.
I was taught to stop believing in imaginary friends when I grew up. Apparantley alot of other people were not.

i don't get mad and that i surely am unlikely to knock on your door. i'm a Christian, I do believe in God, yet i do no longer pass to church. i believe that God is with me the place ever i pass and that i do no longer would desire to step for the duration of a tax-loose construction's threshold to have fun that actuality. Edit: i'm such as you. i'm religious and not in any respect religious. Spirituality is something you sense. faith is something you coach. and that i do no longer believe i opt for somebody telling me what i'm meant to sense. And to Peach--your call fits you completely.

I don't think they get mad, I just think that they mean well, they don't want you to go to hell. Maybe they don't know how to say it and it comes out like they are being judge mental. They just mean well and they want you to except Jesus as your personal savior, and they want to see you in heaven when you die. Be patient and listen. I'm a Christian and I don't like to be judgemental or be aggressive either, I believe that God will use me at the right time, and He will show me how to say what I need to say without being judgemental. You understand what I mean? Oh, another thing, there is no such place as purgatory. Its just heaven and hell.

well thank you for recognising that we're not ALL a bunch of Bible bashers! I generally don't tell anyone my personal beliefs unless they ask.
i honestly don't blame people for getting angry with christians. i know i'm not perfect either, that's why i try not to judge other people. That said, my husband and i had one of those super spiritual bible bashing types board with us for a while. it was undoubtedly those 18 months of my life. He was very arrogant, rude and disrespectful to me in particular. He was also very secretive, and once blew up at me, in front of my husband, for bringing in his mail along with everything else in the letterbox. He would spend all day "studying the bible", and never failed to broadcast that fact to everyone he met. He was the most unchristian person i have ever met. No matter how nice i tried to be, how much respect i showed despite his rudeness towards me and my kids (he threw dirt in my 3yo son's face!) he still thought he was better than everyone else. I hope that he now realizes that it's what in your heart that god cares about, not in your head.

I'm a Christian, and i try to do my catholic duties (mass, etc.) BUT I too hate it when other christians use 'coercion' to get their points across. It defeats the purpose. It saddens me when they resort to judging other people on the pretext of "preparing for final judgement"

I got church and believe in god. I don't care if ya go or not. Don't care if your gay or not. Some people choose to believe in aliens I choose to believe in god who may turn out to be an alien. I don't know, some people just believe there is something bigger then us and they believe what they believe.

I'm not Catholic. I am a Christian. I do not belive in pugotory or telling your sins to a priest. (who is just a man). I do believe in spreading the word of God. If you asked me I would share my faith and beliefs with you. If you told me that you did not want to hear what I had to say I would leave you alone. But I would pray for you.

To me that is not how you tell people about God...God is everywhere...nature can be the most magnificent cathedral that man could not imagine nor build...and as it says in the bible when two or more are gathered in His name, you are having church...I do not really know why but I for one do not think you need to go to a building to find God...
