I cant usually stand reality tv of any type, but I found myself watching the opening rounds of x-factor yesterday... and I actually found it difficult to watch, it was painful.
Now, having had crap like the x-factor, pop idol and all that running for some time now, why do people who MUST be aware they are completely the wrong type of person apply for it?
When you see the tubby, ugly & talentless Northern Lass in the line, I have to wonder if she REALLY thinks she is going to be the next winner, like they are suddenly going to break from the tried & tested star model for her? Next thing, Simon Cowell has ripped her to pieces for the cameras & she is bawling, saying her life is ruined. Why did she set herself up for a public fall? She must have seen it coming!
But, even if you thought you had a shot at winning, why would people want to? 3 months of B list 'fame' at best. You get a single, then 6 months later the world has forgotten you.
Why would anyone want to do this?
