If this sentence is not correct, then how should this sentence be re-written while staying in one sentence?

"To me, the internet search serves only as a plaything-and should generally only be used to descry the supplemental or auxilary, or for the pursuit of irrelevant but entertaining, tangent information."
(Wikipedia is a prime example of this.)
