It's the rallying cry of the old Unit the 3rd of the 47th Infantry Regiment. It is a Chinese/Manchurian phrase that means (roughly translated) Glory through Victory.

The guy who note the high school whos Junior ROTC is named for the above.

It is two words both common in Chinese dialects and Vietnamese but as I know some Vietnamese - the phrase does not "ride together" as in it is at best vague and not common in literature.

Mung and Ho are very common Vietnamese words, but they do not go together in any way I can see. Sort of like the Vietnam War base: Chu Lai. But it was "nonsense" no such word.

But I am sure in you ask a "vet" he or she will say oh "Mung Ho", yeah "it was bad" "almost got zapped there", ..

Who knows?
