It means "love". Look at it sideways-it looks like a heart-a cruddy heart, but a heart nonetheless. Or you can do it this way "&, hearts, ;" the "and" symbol, the word "hearts" and a semicolon all together without any spaces. It makes an actual heart. ♥

What i learned in grade school is that wherever the open part is, that number is less than the one on the other side.
