So why is it that "sophomore" refers to a student in the second year of high school or college, while the adjective "sophomoric" refers to behavior that shows great immaturity, stupidity, and poor judgment? Seems awfully insulting...

i need a title for a poem that deals with verbal and emotional abuse towards a child. the poem is written from the childs point of view, she talks about the emotional hurt her father caused her and how she never quite healed and that she need him to love her. i just can't think of a title?!

I meant he support the people that he agree with, but he never really involved in the discussion, but only to insult the opponent and to praise the people that he agree with.

Can I say this to him: "Being cheerleader in this thread is safer for someone like you, it can save your from further emberassment".

This is when you step one way, and the person coming the other way does the same, this is usually repeated (causing mild embarrassment and muttered apologies from both parties) until either you or the other person manages to get past the other.

There might well not be a name in English for this, so made up ones are acceptable. The best I have heard so far is "Kershuffle".
