A
"Between" would be used when you have 2 objects of the preposition...you have 3 so you would have to use "among" instead.

There is nothing wrong with either of them; they would both sound perfectly natural from the mouth of a native speaker of English.

If we have to be picky, 'in' in A is only correct because it is used in a set expression, 'in line' - otherwise it would have been 'in the line'. 'While' is not a preposition at all here, it's a subjunction.

Only over-zealous purists and 17th century grammarians think that prepositions should follow logical constraints - 'between' is certainly used to relate more than two people, and has probably been used thus for quite a few centuries.

But then that's the linguist in me speaking...

I don't see anything wrong with the first one and I know that the second one is wrong so I will go with A as the correct one.

When you say "between" you are distinguishing between two things. When you mean to distinguish among more than two you need to use "among." That is one of my pet-peeve grammatical errors.

A is correct. B mis-uses "between". "Between" refers to two only. "Among" is the correct term for more than two. Also, you might want to spell check "sentances".

I think it's A. You can't have something "between" more than 2 people. Is that right?
