I hear euphemisms every day...usually uttered by those in positions of authority to hide unpleasant realities. I guess it is easier to call Iraq a "theater of operations" rather than the urban battlezone it is. And no one gets shell shocked anymore...isn't that something...but a lot of troops coming home have PTSD. We even acronymize the euphemism to lessen its impact.

And then people wonder why we can't solve our problems. For crying out loud, we can't even talk about them...
