When i asked my customer to repeat their order by
saying "come again?"... my boss told me she had
never heard anyone using that before and told me
i was being rude to the customer.

For example;

"I WILL GO THAN" or "I HAVE MORE THEN YOU".

I personally get really annoyed at this but I cant go on about it too much so am just wondering about others opinions on this.

Someone I know read an English translation of the French book "story of O" recently, and commented, "What is all that stuff about 'her sex'? In French, 'sexe' also means 'sexual part' but it always sounds weird in English. Writers have tried to import it - another example is Frank Harris in 'My Life and Loves', but it just hasn't caught on. Why? Other terms have crossed the Atlantic and the Channel. The modern meaning of 'make love' comes from the French 'faire l'amour' - 'make love' did exist in English before but had a wider meaning, like when the woman on a boat with Groucho Marxx says 'Are you making love to me?'

BTW his isn't homework, I'm just bored.

All she wanted was a cut-out of the embroidered tote bag she had seen in the magazine. But she couldn't find it. The girl's eyes were focused on the polished teen magazine. She flipped each page intensely, and she felt her jaw drop to the floor. Clusters of fragile-looking girls with skin-tight jeans, tanned six-packs and flawless skin packed each page she flipped. Each of these dreamike girls shared the same features: Long flowing hair, beautiul almond shaped eyes, symmetrical white teeth and flawless skin. She dropped the magazine before it consumed the remainder of her pride. The girl walked to the full-length mirror and stared at herself in pre animosity.

Shockingly, media has a had a huge impact on our society. It has seduced us with its advertising or commercials to change or views, buy certain products and even worse, change our personality
