The word basiacaly is pronounce completly different from the way it looks. For example, this word I made up, "tiame" can be pronounced "shame" because the letters "ti" can sound like "sh" like in the word relation. (rela-ti-on). Anyways, I forgot what the word is and how it's pronounced and now it's bugging me. Does anyone know? Thanks, I'm so atiamed.lol, Someone tell me the word please!

In her "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves" Cher sings
"Papa would do whatever he could
Preach a little gospel, sell a couple bottles of doctor good"
What do you mean by "doctor good"? Does it mean wine/liquor ?
I couldn't find any explanation in Answer.com or thru a Google search.
