If someone and I have known each other for awhile/long time and we have "something" for each other, but we are not really in a relationship yet, how can I describe this situation by using words/sentences?

You both want the same thing but, neither wants to take first step well someone has to break ice why not you but, be careful your right about the other persons attraction to you because if you take the first steps and the other doesn't feel the same your friendship could be jeopardized.

dont try to name ur relationship by words or sentenced.
Just let it flow with time and maybe later you will be better equipped to give a label to it
