why don't we call a canadian resident a CANADAN?
because the name of this country is canada, not canadia!!!
for example: do we say germanians to germans? no we don't!
and we say an albanian because it is albania, not albana... what a language....

where does the saying whole nine yards come from. I belived it was the distance between the crease in cricket but a friend says it was the length of the ammunition strip in the spitfire during WW11.

I don't understand why so many people confuse the two. "Your" is possessive and "you're" is a contraction of "you are." Are they that hard to understand?
