correct according to the grammarians. My question is- Are the following sentences correct: 1)She is on a train.
2) She is sitting in a train.3)She bought a ticket on a train.
4) She is reading on a train.
May I use the words bus, tram, trolleybus instead of the word train in the same sentences? But keep in mind that the grammar book gives the variant 'to read on a train' as the correct one. If both variants are possible then say about it, that it possible to say both ways, if only one way then only one way.

i'm doing an art project for school, and the assignment is to pick ONE word that is inspirational/has meaning to us and create a work of art encompassing the overall mood/significance of the word.

i wanted something inspiring, maybe...?

i had "live", "believe", "dream", and "imagine" in mind...but i want something a bit more creative if at all possible. i'm having trouble trying to think of something that's not so cheesy or cliche.

thanks :-)

With the holiday coming up I thought it would be interesting to share the differences in our local lingo. What do you know about the differences and origins of the popular terms for carbonated beverages like soda and sandwiches on buns/bread? I know it depends on where you live but, why do you call it by a certain name? I had a weggie in Pittsburgh that was actually a folded pizza crust, stuffed with meat and cheese. BTW, if you don't want it heated you better ask for cold or they automatically put it in the oven - lettuce, tomato, mayo and all! And Primanti Brothers has their own crazy idea (http://www.primantibros.com/) and puts the slaw and fries right on the sandwich! I understand it helped the local workers eat with one hand - fast, efficent, and clean. Did you know why sliced pickles are rippled - for traction! A fast food chain came up with the idea which made the burgers easier to eat and not slide and was a great way to distrubute the pickles. Tell me what you know

After moving to New England we have noticed that everyone has "tag sales" and not yard or garage sales like they had in PA. Does anyone know the reason why?

An Arab sheikh is old and must will his fortune to one of his two sons. He makes a proposition. His two sons will ride their camels in a race, and whichever camel crosses the finish line last will win the fortune for its owner. During the race, the two brothers wander aimlessly for days, neither willing to cross the finish line. In desperation, they ask a wise man for advice. He tells them something; then the brothers leap onto the camels and charge toward the finish line. What did the wise man say?
