It's pronounced Raw Men .... yeah that's it. I've been eating them since I was a little kid. I always just called them oldes and noodles, lol... haha, I still call them that to this day and I'm 21!

It's a Japanese word, and it's made up of 3 seperate kana.
It's pronounced
RA - as in rat without the 't'. (Not the pronunciation some Americans use, which sounds more like "rayatt"!!)
ME-N - as in 'men', but with more emphasis on the 'n'.
The 'men' pronunciation on this page
http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/men;_ylt=AmBa5HoJF5ZIcTFw01MlFsisgMMF
isn't too bad, just put more emphasis on the 'n' as I said, but the 'rat' pronunciation on that site is not good enough as a pronunciation guide!

particularly effective it really is "RAH - adult men" a minimum of it really is how the mamasans in Japan would say it when I ordered a bowl. in case you prefer to be authentic certain... make the "R" sound like you're putting forward "D," "L," and "R" all at the same time. ;-)
