I guess they make up their own rule's. I think that they are trying to cover their base's because they are not quite sure how the word's are supposed to end. I see these thing's all the time and it drive's me nut's.

I think it's because they didn't pay enough attention in English class. I see this all the time. It drives me crazy. I think people either don't understand the difference between plurals and possessives or they are just too lazy to figure it out. There's actually a website for this. Do a search on "apostrophe" and you'll probably find it. Something about the apostrophe protection society, I think.

'S can be used as a possessive and a contraction. For example, 's can be used as yourname's, it's for it is, who's for who is, etc. Everyone has their own way of using the 's ending and in different countries, they may use it differently than we use it here.

's is short for "is", you put it on the word you wanna say "is" after. you just used it on "what's" and that's not possessive.
and try to spell correctly before sayin what rules you understand.
