In 1993 I came upon 3 scripts for sale. I checked into this and they were copies of the scripts Lucas wrote in 1983-84. The original name for Ep 3 was "Fall of the Republic"
In it, (they reversed it for the movie), The jedi and Palpetine have discovered a crystal that can either balance the force (for the jedi) or give unlimited power (for palpetine).
The Jedi send Ben to get it, and Palpetine sends Anakin. Originally, that was what the battle between the two was over. Now i didnt read Ep 1 and 2 back then. I have read ep 3 several times.
In this case Anakin becomes Vader right off. I think that would have been better.

As for people saying that Ep 1 and the origin of Anakin was bad, look at the whole SW universe story line. Anakin does lose a parent (his mom to the sand people) kills them in anger, the jedi dont trust him from day 1.
Hell in case you dont know, He is the chosen one. It takes his sacrifice in ROTJ by killing the emporer at his own loss of life to fullfill it

What the hell do people have against Ep 1 and 2? I grew up on Star Wars. I remember when the scripts were originaly writen for 1-3. 3 ended up being reversed. The original script had Anakin become Vader right off. He was sent to Mustafar to find a powerfull crystal. If the jedi got it they could balance the force wit it (Obiwan was sent for this reason) and if the emporer got it, he would be all powerfull (anakin was sent for this reason.

Ep 1 and 2 were the early days of Anakin. Now Ep 1 could have been skipped story line. But as for Star Wars. Ep 2 was def Star Wars. It covered a major point in the SW universe: The CLone wars.

I read a interview of a guy who said he met Lucas on a beach one time and he asked Lucas if he would ever consider another movie. Lucas said that if he ever did, he would love to go back 800 years to when Yoda helped win the SIth Wars.

Lets see if anyone really knows Star Wars?
Some are hard questions some are easy. Dont quote me on all of these as being perfect, but I will vote on which ones are right based on what I know.

1. WHen George Lucas was naming R2D2 he could not come up with a name. He decided to use a movie making term. What does R.2.D.2. stand for?

2. What female product are the engine pods on the back of Star Destroyers made out of?

3. In close up shots of the Deathstar surface, what was this made out of (all the same thing)?

4. In Empire Strikes Back, during the battle of Hoth (the ice-snow world) rebel troops battled imperial Walkers. What Noreigan Organization played these troops?

5. In Ep 1 (Phantom Menace) in Watto's Junk Yard as they first enter, there is a prop from another famous sci-fi movie. It is siting on its back with its legs extended. What is this object and what movie did it come from?

In the early 1930s a man named Eli was in the advertising bussiness. However this was not very profitable at the time. He became very pore, and his clothes were falling apart. His diet was also very limited, and his lunch consisted of cheese sandwiches.
A small mouse lived in his apartment office and Eli shared part of his sandwich with the mouse. However over time this became even too much for him to afford.
Needing to let the mouse go, he decided he could not let him just out the door since the resturaunt he lived over used mouse traps.
He carried the mouse out to the woods, let it go and wished it to live happily ever after.
Now we dont know the fate of the mouse, but Eli soon picked up a new line of work. He loved to draw, and he had drawn pictures of the mouse. He even put clothes on the mouse. For it was Elias Walt Disney who would name this mouse Mortimer Mouse. But his wife did not like this name and gave it a more famous name.
Mickey Mouse

As i said, there is a cup in the painting. Yeah there is things there that dont make sense. Somethings probably were created to support a legend.
But, its also like "National Treasure" NT is based on facts and fiction: The Free Masons at last word i have include Bill CLinton and George W Bush. They have included JFK and many others.
There was the Templer Knights, and There is even talk of a treasure. But then you have this odd connection between the templer knights and the Da Vinci Code.

Kind of makes you wonder what part of all this leaves fact and goes fiction.
