I feel, in my opinion, that since you are up-rooting your life (and that of your family) to continue working by moving to Delhi, and you don't feel that the compensation is enough for you to make the move, please sit down with your Employeer and list these things out in a calm, rational manner. You can cite that while you enjoy working for the Company, and are flattered that they've given you the chance to move and grow with the Company, that you hope that they understand that this is quite a decision being made on your part and after weighing both the pros and cons, you've come the realization that the salary increase just does not merit a move on your part. You can further ask them if there is some way in which to increase their offer, again citing the above mentioned points (family, up-rooting your life, etc.). While I can't promise you that your Employer will see things your way, you've at least "put all of your cards on the table" and your Employeer will understand your point of view. If and when you decide to perhaps take my advice - please go into the meeting with your Employeer, prepared. Have everything outlined on paper, even going as far as having a copy of your proposal for your Employeer to keep and evaluate when thinking over their decision. With everything spelled out clearly on your outline for both yourself and your Employeer, nothing will be left to chance and you both know what is expected. Hopefully this will put you at a better advantage to actually increase the raise in your salary to be where you would like it to be.

Have a lovely rest of the day. Hopefully I've given you "food-for-thought" and helped you along with your decision.

If your salary raise was not up to your expectations and money is the primary issue for you-don't go. But I say look at the adventurous side: If the transfer will provide a challenging work environment that you will enjoy and that will serve you well in experience, you'll gain a higher salary down the road anyway. Then you will have gained much, both widening your horizens in a new place and a different experience and perspective to bring to your line of work. Good luck to you.

I am not sure about your question but -

Any raise is a good raise & experience never fails to provide you with a higher wage in the future.

I say - move to Dehli - stay for @ least a year & then look for something else.

In an economic climate like India - an increase in wage effects the community you live in & therefore betters the overall economic climate.

I say - do it.

Get all your strengths/benefits to company in order and negotiate a higher salary or think of additional perks like vacation, etc. that might be worth adding to accept the lower wage.

Learning to spell correctly might get you a little more salary. Maybe your employer expects more of you! If you take shortcuts here, I can only guess that you do them at work also. Try doing it their way, since they're paying you.
