I read this and thought I'd post my FIRST question -- see what everyone thought. Either from an instructor or student -- point of view. I'm sure the answers will be quite interesting.

Personally, I'm not much of a math fan. Actually, I'm surprised I even passed (barely) the subject in school. But I do notice that when I'm faced with some sort of mathematical obstacle (especially when I'm writing computer programs), so far, I'm able to figure the math out. --go figure.

Today is the fifth of November...and freakishly I saw the movie "V for Vendetta" again, a year after it was released. My question is are we willing to do something about all of this. Ironically, everything in the movie is becoming a reality with the passing day. Federal agents pull out a 14-year old from her classes to question her about her myspace comment about he she hates Bush. The state of California announced yesterday that elementary school kids will be fingerprinted. The kids I am sure are a very big threat to national secutiry. And England has just been declared the most spied on nation in the world. England has the biggest closed circuit monitoring system in the world. Biometric systems are being integrated for things like passports. England is the closest thing to a Big Brother society that we have today.

What do you have to say? I would love to hear from some English people.

I am posting this in several categories because I want to get a range of responses.

I'm so sorry for interrupting but I do really need help... As an ESL student , I'm having a hard time to understand the constitution...I've read it all but can someone explain to me how does the president's power use?

ok for example, can the Mr. President here veto stuffs without asking the Congress? (well, can the USA President do that?)

that's all about it. I just didn't understand the English written in the Constitution because its so deep and I can't even find in my dictionary T_T... please, I do really want to understand the Constitution of America...(sorry for my grammar, I hope you can all understand what I'm trying to say)

A travel agent offers two package vacation plans. The first plan costs $360 and includes 3 days at a hotel and a rental car for 2 days. The second plan costs $500 and includes 4 days at a hotel and a rental car for 3 days. The daily charge for the room is the same under each plan, as is the daily charge for the car. What is the cost per day for the room and for the car?

Explain how you did it.
