I have a 16 year old son who is falling behind in school and needs help.I heard about a program called "no child left behind program.Can someone break it down to me what this program is about and if this could possibly be an option for my son?He lives in VA.

It is so frustrating how much bad grammar and spelling is out on the internet. Most people do not know the difference between there and their or then and than. So tell me why, when there is sooooo much technology out there to "spell check" things, the situation is getting worse. If we want to keep English our language shouldn't we know how to write it???

I deal with university students from all over the world, and it's quite striking how poorly educated students from the U.S. are compared to students from other countries. Even in basic things such as simple spelling and grammar, reading ability, elementary math and science, etc. Why is American public education so bad?
