Home School
Public schools.... aside of the standardized materials, schools just seem to be turning out students just to turn them out. They usually don't have enough money for things that need & most lunches are junk. With such a wide variety of people things you would rather your children not know, they end up learning & the swappping of grems. Much social pressure, the need to fit in can lead kids astray, & usually develop problems in varous areas.... but if we must, it is important to talk to your children daily about everything. Ask them what they learned, who they like & why... being an involved parent changes everything too.
Private schools are ususally better academically but the social arena maybe askewed. Most of the students are from wealthy families and along with everybody else, the problems that can stem out from here can impact your child in one way or another. An involved parent makes all the difference!
So, home schooling wins with me because it give the child a chance to show his or her personal areas of excellence. A subject can be learned at the needed pace. There is no social challenges and if you think you could implement an etiquettte, manners, & socail interaction workshop with the child. All of the home schooled children I know seem so nicely put together and educated. These children should get proper socialization and participate in after school activites with other people their own age such as dancing, sports, clubs, & other social events. That is being an involved parent & if I were able this is the way I would go & why.

On average, most private schools/charter schools have grades than public schools and usually have higher standards for learning. That doesn't say that public school is bad because you usually have more classes to choose from because of public funding. I have found that home schoolers have a tendency to be brainy, but not savvy when it comes to living in the real world. Common sense isn't there as much. Private schools usually have smaller student:teacher ratios so the students can be helped more if help is needed. I personally would choose private or home school over a public school for the general info, but I would probably send my kids to certain summer school classes if they couldn't receive them at the local private or home school.

I have done it all. While Private schools offer better education programs, you can miss out on a lot. Public schools have magnet programs and advanced classes too. I think that whatever school you can get the highest GPA in should be your choice, because that's what colleges look at. They don't care if it was a preppy school or not. I don't recommend home school, because you miss out on a lot of social activities that are great not only for now but for when you get to college. I loved being the editor of the yearbook, playing sports, and being part of Model U.N. and what not. You just don't get that when you're home schooled.

Private Christian Schools are by far the best. They are usually academically advanced, they are clean and safe, and students develop a strong character.
Next would be secular private schools. They are usually advanced academically. They are usually clean.
Then home school would be next. They are usually very safe, and depending on how much the parents can put into it time wise, can be as academic as private school. Generally home schooled students score much higher on standardize test and do much better in college that public schooled students.
Public school should only be considered if you can not do anything else. Academically they are continuing to fail and they are not safe for your children.

1. Homeschooled if the parents have enough time, knowledge, skill, and patience.
2. Christian Private School
3. Private school
Its much more safer, and beneficial than public school.
4. Right now I attend public school and its not a BAD experience, but if I had a choice, I wouldn't be in public school.

I like private schools. I have gone to private schools all my life, and like the fact that they're smaller and can choose who they want to admit. At the risk of sounding stuck-up, I think they attract a better quality of student. Of course, there are always the students who are there only because their parents want the status of having their children in expensive private schools, but all in all, I think that private schools offer a better education, and an edge in getting into colleges and universities. They generally have smaller classes to, which is greatly beneficial to the students.

I went to private (Catholic) schools all my life. They were very hard and way ahead of the public schools. The grading system is different and I struggled through it. Now that I am older, I appreciate them because I feel like I had an excellent education!
My sister was homeschooled for three years and everything went fine there too.

Public school. The kids got to know what the real world would be like and that environment is the best. They can experience the good and the bad from that. They can see (or not see) tax dollars at work. They get to see kids who are vain, spoiled, conceded, depressed, disturbed, mentally out there, a bully, a wimp, I mean, you got your smorgasbord of kids who are going to be like that in the real world. You also have you teacher's pets, the jocks, the kiss a-s-s, all of them. They need that atmosphere and they are not going to get it home schooled either. Private is okay, but, public, to me, is better.
