I am currently searching for a research paper topic (argumentative, not just informative) I can do in my English 1304 class. I prefer it be over film, since I am majoring in that area, however my teacher has made it clear that the argument over if violence should be allowed in movies or television is not allowed. Does anyone have any other ideas of what I could do?

for english i have to read a few paragraph about one of the following:

-why has Romeo and Juliet endured, why is it timeless, or, in other words why do we still read/act/watch Shakespeare?
-plays are intended for the stage. Should we read them as literature? why or why not?
-why do playwrights write plays rather than other forms of literature?
-why would a playwright reveal the ending at the onset of the play?

no matter which question i do, i need three main supporting ideas to answer the question. each idea needs to be able to be made in a paragraph complete with examples from the book.

Any ideas for the three main topics???

so basically the argument is over whether the gov. should est. a policy increasing the # of ppl serving right? (correct me if im wrong)
