For an English assignment, I am to write an essay of at least five paragraphs in which I must talk about the reality of the issue (the conflict between popular interpretation of science) and religion (more specifically, Christianity) and compare and contrast that with how fictional literature depicts the issue. I've got Inherit the Wind, but that's it. Any suggestions?

I have been up all night doing this English project. The project involves a looooong list of literary devices. I have to find a quote in the book, "Their Eyes Were Watching God", by Zora Neale Hurston, that is an example of each device. I'm almost done with the project, but I'm having trouble finding two quotes from the book that are examples of Onomatopoeia and Irony.

I have looked, and looked, and looked, and re-read and re-read. I can not find any use of onomatopoeia or irony in the book, specifically in the first ten chapters.

As a final resort, I come here to ask. Can anyone help me? Or could you simply point me in the right direction. I just need help with onomatopoeia and irony, but it has to come within the first ten chapters of the book. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm analyzing a piece in sonata form and am having some difficulty with the exposition. I've come up with three themes and am not sure if that's possible/allowed. The second theme could be a really long bridge, but I'm not sure...it seems to act as its own theme, shows up in the development, and also has a transition between it and the third theme. Can an exposition have three different themes?
