if you were to compare these topics, (media content, media grammar and medium) what would one say? How does one put these topics in an essay?

I can give you what I understand these to be... You might be able to use some of my suggestions to help guide you in your research... but I wouldn't cut and paste, the work needs to be your own. More than anything else, refer to your text for specific definitions, as they may differ slightly (I'd hate to see you get a poor grade because I sent you the wrong direction).

Media Content would be the beef of the media. It's the content that is being conveyed. It would be topical. For example, media content might be Music or more specifically, MP3's or Videos. It might be gender, age, or even socio-economic class related. It's typically a demographic group or community.

Media Grammer would be the specific language or understanding of commuications that is used to convey the content. That would be, but is not limited to, a specific language (english, spanish, etc) or even certain types of inflections (Ebonics, Tex-mex, Valley-Girl, etc). Furthermore, it might be an atmosphere of communiction. For example, the gothic scene might relate more to a dark erie style in communication, etc.

Medium would be the method of communicating the content. This might be television, radio, bill board, or even Internet. Any method of conveying might constitute a medium. Sometimes, adverts will do something dramatic and actually "stage" a fake event to gain air time on the local news. This type of innovative medium is an excellent eye catcher and reaches a diverse demographic auidence.

Hope this helps you move in the right direction.
