The first answer interpreted the question as having the sub dive an additional 300 meters. To me it sounds like it goes down to a total depth of 300m, in which case it would be:

45/300

You should be able to reduce it.

45 meters (initial depth) is 45/300 of new depth (300) reduces to 3/20
